Youve got to give it to Ron Paul," Palin said. "Whether you agree with everything he says or not, at least he is one there in Congress trying to make our President stick to the law and understand that Congress does have a role to play in these foreign policy decisions that are made and Ron Paul, I think hit the nail on the head, when he came out and said Obama had better be careful when he interjects himself and our country in other nations business.

He’s also the craziest candidate too. Like I said, moments of clarity. Guess I’d still vote for him over 0 or Mitt. More moments of clarity.
Geek-ness is In! and has been for some time now. Look at our most successful Internet gurus/business leaders. The ones with the hair/face are only for talk show= TV news/commentary.
Sarah has a pulpit and the courage to speak the truth from it.
“Sarah appears to agree with Ron Paul on this narrow issue, but no one should state or imply that she agrees with Ron Paul on all or even most foreign relations issues.”
I would hope not....the man is insane. I won’t support Romney or Paul in a general election. Romney is an obvious liberal.....but Paul is just nuts...and a libertarian pretending to be a Republican. He shouldn’t even be in the GOP primary. He appeals to the young and naive, dope smokers, and anti-war liberals. The man is a wack job.
You’re wrong about Ron. The story below is from July 2007:
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/22/magazine/22Paul-t.html?pagewanted=print
He is not far from it. Openly endorsing and campaining for code pink activist, 9/11 truther for Congress and repeated appearances on the Alex Jones show automatically disqualify him from being a rational choice for public office.
Well u got me there....
She’s right and Paul’s right. Obama didn’t care about the Congress or the American People while he pursued his Libyan adventure.
He appeals to me about many things I think are important Sola and I am not remotely young, naive, a dope smoker or an anti-war liberal.
I don’t understand why you think he appeals only to those groups or why you want to denigrate those who listen with an open mind.
It’s a situation in which I might not agree with everything but I agree with a great deal of what he says and he has influenced the discussion of how to make things better for our economy and our individual liberties.
Even Henry got in the ring and fought for it three times.
A pat on the back for one, a high five for another, a hand shake or two, some kind words and viola we have a contested convention.
Can you say Palin/Cain 2012?
You missed the ironic wordplay, nimrod.
“I dont understand why you think he appeals only to those groups or why you want to denigrate those who listen with an open mind.”
Because if you will study the “Libertarian” party and libertarians in general...you will find they are mainly anarchists using “liberty” as their excuse. They want to legalize drugs and prostitution. I consider them Libertine not Libertarian. Ron Paul IS NOT a Republican, and should NOT be in the Republican primary. Don’t be surprised if once he loses the primary, which he will, he will run as the Libertarian Party nominee. He isn’t even remotely loyal to Republican conservatism.
Also, he is just WRONG on his extreme views on isolationism and non-intervention. It was fools like him that allowed Hitler and Japan to get out of control leading up to Pearl Harbor. IF America had not been so isolationist, maybe the holocaust and the many horrors of the 2nd World War may not have happened. The man is a fool, and I seriously think he is not mentally sane.
I don’t mean to insult you. However, what you call “having an open mind” is just being “naive.” You do fall within the categories I mentioned. I’m glad you are not a dope smoker.... :-)
samantha,
I don’t know you or Nonstatist; however, you seem to be the one who missed the other poster’s point. Sarah is now dancing FOR the stars, not WITH the stars.
Just admit that you didn’t get Nonstatist’s point to begin with (which I thought was clever) and admonished him/her with the “correct” title of the stupid show.
She is now a cheer-leader from the sideline, no longer a quarterback, sad to say.
You seem to sadly be falling into the clueless act of covering for creeps who slam SP. People that are as clear as mud, but think they are clever need to get a second opinion before they show their ignorance.
FreeDeerHawk: I dont understand why you think he appeals only to those groups or why you want to denigrate those who listen with an open mind.
Sola Veritas: you will find [libertarians] are mainly anarchists using liberty as their excuse. They want to legalize drugs and prostitution...
Yawn. The same old "libertarians are anarchists" meme, followed quickly by the embracing of statism with respect to contraband law as well as privacy and free association rights.
Don't worry, FreeDeerHawk, prohibition works! Remember how great things worked out when alcohol was made illegal?
Personally, I'm getting sick and tired of being asked to choose between left wing authoritarianism and right wing authoritarianism. Neither of these competing brands of majority Tyranny will never win my loyalty.
That's why I am not an authoritarian, except in cases where someone is committing an actual crime of force or fraud, infringing directly on the rights of another. I'll never believe in imprisoning someone merely for possessing the wrong plant, or negotiating a voluntary service contract which I disapprove of.
There isn't one ounce of crazy in this guy. He understands foreign policy and our history overseas. The rest are either bought, nuts or incompetent on foreign policy and the economy.
