Big Brother on the March!

Posted on 12/24/2009 4:21:18 PM PST by Zanton

Earlier today the US Senate passed a sweeping new law of mind-numbing complexity and bureaucracy which dictates a vast government take-over of the medical industry, and which is likely to devastate virtually the entire health care sector. All these new government schemes, scams, mandates, and dictates just about gaurantee that health care costs will skyrocket, health care quality will plummet, and people will die like flys.

Together with the recent, various, industry-wide "bail-outs," and economic "stimuluses" of the past two years, Big Brother has really hammered us in at least three different ways.

It would have been far, far better for all if -- in response to these three manufactured "crisises" -- the federal government had chosen to do nothing. After all, they're the ones that caused the housing bubble collapse and subsequent credit crunch. They're the ones that trashed the economy generally. And they're the ones that make current medical quality so low, and prices so high.

How many more times is government going to "help" us, "rescue" us, and give us major "reform" over the next few years? We can't take much more of this! Big Brother is a loathsome monster and evil destroyer that needs to be stopped.

Good point. These Senators, and other officials, pretty much all swear to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.” But all this Big Gov’t expansionism and interventionism is hardly in line with that. :-(

Because the operation of our country has been taken over by organized crime. Some call them progressives. Some call them Socialists. Some call them Communists. Others Democrats and/or Republicans. And there are more names. But the bottom line is that it is organized crime. "Organized" in that it encompasses a very large part of all three branches of the government. And "crime"...well, look at this health care bill. It speaks for itself. When this is passed we will be under Big Brothers thumb like never before...for generations.

IMHO our votes don't mean anything anymore. It is all controlled and manipulated. Why do you think the politicians passing this slavery bill aren't afraid of the repercussions of their actions. They are "giddy" about all this money that they will control. What happens if you don't embrace their "product" or pay the taxes to finance it? You are fined and/or imprisoned. Can you say extortion?

Go ahead. Flame away. But before you do, think about how useless the all powerful solution of calling or writing your congressman has been during this process. We have been neutered as a people by a Congress that has ignored us as constituents, ignoring the Constitution and taking an attitude of elitism and disdain for the ones that supposedly put them in office.
