We are in places where there are and were havens that either supported terrorist blowing themselves up in Israel for $25,000 a pop or there are drones going over areas where there are terrorist that have and will terrorize Americans or our allies.

Ron Paul can be an idiot IMO.

Hey Ron, if the United States had engaged in 30 years of violent terrorism against China or Canada, or whoever else was lobbing those drone bombs on us, then I would understand that this is part of the deal, that we asked for it, and now we have to deal with it. Screw the Arabs, screw the muslims, they can all go to hell. Bomb the hell out of them, that’s all they understand.

What if tomorrow morning you woke up to headlines that yet another Chinese drone bombing on US soil killed several dozen ranchers in a rural community while they were sleeping?

RuPaul in top moral equivalence form. Last I checked, we do not have terrorists based in our territory that travel over to China to kill their soldiers.

I have a difficult time disagreeing with this reasoning, and I enjoyed the metaphor, but I can't fully sign on to it.
If the message can be made clear and repeated often that Pakistan should not harbor terrorist and political enemies, then it changes the context... or to go with the metaphor, if Americans were made aware that the drones were coming from Canada because some ranchers in South Dakota were harboring international political figures, I think that while the americans would not become sympathetic to the chinese, they would call into question our own actions.

Does any rational person really believe that if tomorrow the United States pulled completely back from the world, withdraw all troops back to our borders. Completely stopped any international interaction that the Islamic Terrorist would give up and leave us alone for all time? They hate us simple because we exist, they hate us for our freedoms, they hate us for our beliefs, they hate us because their lives would be meaningless without someone to HATE!

I am not advocating for Ron Paul, but I think that he is right in that our actions do not pass Constitutional inspection. Unless we are operating in a war declared by congress the action is unconstitutional.

Right now we need to stop pillorying our own fellow Conservatives if they are in line with the Constitution but out of step with our individual beliefs. To paraphrase an apt biblical saying; "if they are not against us, they are for us." This includes Ron Paul.

We need to stop bribing and considerably step up the bombing. If Red China were to send drones here to kill American citizens, we would need to respond in several ways: (1) repudiate all public debt to the Red Chinese; (2) seize all Red Chinese assets in the US; 3) Make any Red Chinese navy or air force and the bulk of the People's Liberation Army a radioactive memory; 4) Give the Chicoms 24 hours to unconditionally surrender or see Beijing removed from the map except as a radioactive ash heap; 5) Withdraw from any international agreements involving the Chicoms; 6) Remove the UN from the US and vice versa. Of course, none of those are likely until the end of the Obammunist regime on January 21, 2113.
