I own a startup staffing service here in the St. Louis metro area. Wednesday a kid came in to apply for assignment with us, and he brings a woman with him. It turns out she is his "work coach". What this means is that every time he goes looking for a job, she's with him, injecting herself into the proceedings, talking about him like he isn't there, using terms like "high-functioning" as if the guy were retarded. The poor bastard would do much better on his own. Has anybody else encountered anything like this?
Sounds loaded. Look, if I'm high, you don't want me to paint your bedroom. Play guitar, yes. Paint a room, no.
Then don't hire him. Next!
Work coaches usually come armed with tax credits if you can see your way clear to hiring the person in question. Lets face it some jobs are just to boring for the sharpest tool in the shed why not let the “strong back weak mind” do the job if he/she can.
With your boss's employer, right?
Imagine! I wouldn’t want a Work Coach in an interview that I was doing. Who would hire someone who brought a WC to an interview? It IS like bringing his mom. haha.
I’m with you. You hire someone to help YOU.
that’s a good one!
lol!
Democrats have these.
They are called the MSM.
I might have hired him for something, but she really creeped me out.
That’s good. They are just looking or a “chance”.
