PAUL BLAMES FEDERAL RESERVE FOR WEAK ECONOMY
Fox News ^ | Jan. 21, 2008 | AP

KENNER, La. — Ron Paul, a Republican presidential contender and Texas congressman, said Monday that the Federal Reserve is to blame for the country’s weakening economy.

Paul highlighted his economic remedies — abolishing the federal income tax and returning to the gold standard, among them — on a three-city tour of Louisiana.

The libertarian-minded Paul was the only candidate to visit Louisiana on the eve of the state’s Republican caucuses Tuesday. The caucuses are an intermediary step in picking a favorite candidate. A presidential primary will take place on Feb. 9 and a state convention will convene on Feb. 16.

Paul blamed the Federal Reserve for the current economic conditions; stock markets worldwide fell Monday after Wall Street declined last week. On his Web site, he said the Fed has taken the United States “into a terrible crisis.” Paul told an overflow crowd at a suburban New Orleans hotel Monday that the Fed has allowed the dollar to weaken, which in turn, he said, has hurt the middle class and led to inflation.

“I would enjoy being the next president to get rid of our central bank,” he told supporters. The crowd gave him a raucous welcome, chanting at one point, “Who dat? Who dat say they’re gonna beat Ron Paul?” — a riff on a popular football chant for the New Orleans Saints.

"Ah, the obligatory “Paul’s a racist!” smears, when you can’t debate the facts."

No, not the "obligatory", but the "correct, sourced, and true".

I'm tired of Ron Nazi Paul supporters deny the sourced, confirmable, and public statements of this creep as if yelling loud enough will make the facts all go away.
Fact are that Doctor Mister Congressman Ron Paul is a racist, anti-American, luddite, Stormfront Dot Org Supported loon. Here'a a selection of his favorite hits:

Racist Doctor Magician Extraordinaire Ron "if you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be" Paul Quotes:

“[O]ur country is being destroyed by a group of actual and potential terrorists—and they can be identified by the color of their skin.”

“I think we can safely assume that 95% of the black males in that city [Washington, D.C.] are semi-criminal or entirely criminal.”

“We are constantly told that it is evil to be afraid of black men, but it is hardly irrational.”

“The riots, burning, looting, and murders are only a continuation of 30 years of racial politics.”

“The criminals who terrorize our cities—in riots and on every non-riot day—are not exclusively young black males, but they largely are. As children, they are trained to hate whites, to believe that white oppression is responsible for all black ills, to “fight the power,” and to steal and loot as much money from the white enemy as possible. Anything is justified against ‘The Man.’ And ‘The Woman.’’”

“My friend waved to the tiny [African-American] child, who scowled, stuck out her tongue, and said (somewhat tautologically): “I hate you, white honkey.” And the parents were indulgent. Is any white child taught to hate in this way?” [As a matter of fact, Paul has appeared on a radio program called “The Political Cesspool,” which has featured the neo-Nazi twin pop stars Prussian Blue. –ed.]

“But this is normal, and in fact benign, compared to much of the anti-white ideology in the thoroughly racist black community. The black leadership indoctrinates its followers with phony history and phony theory to bolster its claims of victimology.”

“Korean-Americans, hated by blacks, never riot, and in fact are some of the most productive people in America (the reason for black hatred).”

“The cause of the riots is plain: barbarism. If the barbarians cannot loot sufficiently through legal channels (i.e., the riots being the welfare-state minus the middleman), they resort to illegal ones, to terrorism.”

“We must not kowtow to the street hoodlums and their sanctimonious leaders.”

“Regardless of what the media tell us, most white Americans are not going to believe that they are at fault for what blacks have done to cities across America. The professional blacks may have cowed the elites, but good sense survives at the grass roots.”

“Indeed, it is shocking to consider the uniformity of opinion among blacks in this country.”

“Blacks have ‘civil rights,’ preferences, set-asides for government contracts, gerrymandered voting districts, black bureaucracies, black mayors, black curricula in schools, black beauty contests, black TV shows, black TV anchors, black scholarships and colleges, hate crime laws, and public humiliation for anyone who dares question the black agenda.”

(Note: Doctor Congressman Mister Ron "Heil" Paul evidently is not familiar with the concept of civil rights, since he puts those rights protected by the Constitution in "scare quotes". It is clear he does not think that "blacks" have rights - else he would rail and foam at the mouth about their civil rights.:ed)

“Black males age 13 that have been raised on the streets and who have joined criminal gangs are as big, strong, tough, scary, and culpable as any adult and should be treated as such.”

Source: The Ron Paul Political/Survival report, 1990-1994, excerpted by the Austin Chronicle

Doctor Congressman Ron Paul Also Approves of Violence Against the US Government (Note his disapproval of punishment for a domestic terrorist:)

“Disgruntled taxpayer Dean Hicks fired bombs through mortars at night at buildings of the Internal Revenue Service in California. Hicks did damage federal property, but no individuals were injured… Hicks was sentenced to 20 years in prison, given a $45,000 fine, and ordered to pay $335,000 in restitution to the IRS. If he had been a serial murderer, he would not have gotten this sort of sentence.”

Let's see. Racist - check. Proven - check. Supported by neo-nazis, check and triple check when you verify the public donations - which he has yet to return or refuse.

Can't debate the facts, Ron Paul supporters just deny the facts.

But even your glorious aryan leader has admitted that those were indeed his positions, published under his name, in his newsletters to constitutents with him as the only byline.

I've sourced it, and here's where you can start reading about your bestest buddy nazi loon candidate.

Have a great day.

Just the opposite, the Wirtschaftswunder happened starting in 48 when they moved to a central banking system like ours from the independent banking system established right after the war in 45. They started having problems when they adopted the Ordoliberalism in the mid 50s and did not turn around again until 67 when they adopted the Stability and Growth Act which moved to more Keynesian principles. You are right that they did have problems when they embraced the SD platform (Ordoliberalism) but this wasn’t an alternative to an Austrian type of system, that system was replaced in 48 when it failed to produce any stable recovery results from 45 to 48.

What nonsense? If nothing else, the newsletter shows that Paul is a terrible executive. He’s a sloganeer, not someone fit to be chief executive of the United States.

I’m a Christian but I’m not going to withhold my vote until Jesus Christ runs for President. So Ron Paul was not a great manager of his office and his staff. The upside for Liberty and Prosperity is so much greater than a few human failings. The Ron Paul is a racist case is so flimsy its laughable.

I can’t believe there are people here on FR that are actually extolling the virtues of Keynesian economics.

Paul Bashers —> Using leftist tactics of trying to smear their opponents as racists and advocating Keynesian economics.

But it is Paul and his supporters that are derided as Leftists . . . okaaaaay.

What proof do you have that Paul had executive authority, or any authority for that matter, over those newsletters?

I think that it would be very easy to rid ourselves of the "FED",or.the more formal and authentic sounding,Federal Reserve Bank,if we would just call it by the acronym that more clearly and honestly describes it. I would suggest POMPUSA,standing for Privately Owned Moneylenders Printshop,United States of America.

Our citizens would be less likely to be happy that the "FED" was lowering or increasing the interest rates if they knew that the Fed was not a government agency. Once people realized private citizens are making huge amounts of money by merely printing money and lending it to the US government with interest, extracted from us,the taxpayers, some of this silliness would come to a screeching halt.

I have a feeling that a reference to "Bernanke,Chairman of POMPUSA" would not inspire the confidence, albeit misplaced, that the general public has accorded the "FED". People might finally recognize that the government receives printed money from a private printing company (so to speak) and pays for them with IOU's that assure these private bankers a hefty interest payment paid by the taxpayers, their children and their children's children. It is time to call a halt to this nonsense.

They probably agree with Bush 41’s classification of Reagonomics as “voodoo economics.”

I guess if I had to pick between Hitler, Stalin, or Mussolini I’d pick Mussolini . . . lesser of three evils and all that.

Proof? He was the pubisher of the Ron Paul Newsletter. How much more proof do you need?

Paul supporters are pretty funny. You're willing to blame America for 9-11, but think Paul has no responsibility for newsletters bearing his name. I think I detect a bit of blind spot.

With Fred Thompson’s withdrawal, the Fred supporters might be in a foul mood. Don’t be surprised if they double their attacks on us.

Regardless on how this election turns, millions will have been educated about Liberty, Prosperity, Peaceful cooperation...

Ron Paul may be remembered as this generations Goldwater. The other pretenders will be forgotten by history as the run-of-mill political hacks they are.
