Actually, it is not a free country in campaign finance. You cant, according to McCain-Feingold, give freely. Strangely enough, the upper limit on donations may actually give Paul a competitive edge because his financial backers are small donors. The old days when you could raise this much in a single day from a few billionaires are gone and Paul has almost no support from the Fortune 500 crowd. The power of the Internet is something that McCain-Feingold did not anticpate when they attempted to shut down free debate in the nation.
That is why the elites are so desperate to tax it, to get control of it.

I looked at those articles, but unless I missed it, I didn't see any direct quotes, just the author's words. Anyway, he has served as a Republican for many years, even if he is a libertarian-minded Republican, and on the Tonight Show recently he stated he has traditionally been a Republican.
Our government has been growing and our liberties have been chipping away so as we can see, many people feel it is time for a liberty-minded and principled leader in the White House, as opposed to the usual insiders who hand the baton back and forth.
Even if he does have some libertarian stances that you don't like, he is still a good man and that is what people want in government these days. (well, not all people, but many)

Rather funny to watch so called conservatives fall over each other in their attempts to smear Dr Ron Paul, isn't it? The one candidate who most represents a true Constitutionalist and he's condemned almost more than the Hildabeast herself! Yes, Ron Paul does seem to have that effect on some people.
Maybe because they do not believe the nation should actually be governed by the Consitution?

You have to be antiwar to support Paul, for one.
There are many freepers who support the war, but support Paul because they rank repealing domestic socialism as a greater priority than foreign policy.

So are Democrats who spit on the flag and hope for our defeat in a time of war and think we are more evil than Al Qaeda. None of which are Ron Paul supporters.
They believe in U.S. sovereignty, the rule of law, and individual freedom, the very things that will destroy Islamic terrorism at its roots.

I noticed he wasnt scoring high enough to even be included in RCP and Rassmussens polls. The only poll that counts is the primaries.

The delusion comes from the extreme extremists who conjure up in their minds a Ron Paul nomination from a reputable party. Enjoy your self-inflicted delusions. I think the same was said about Goldwater and Reagan.

Correction: He won't be, after the convention picks a [rational] candidate for the [reputable]GOP and he has all this DUmmie money left over... And that would be in your opinion?

You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make them drink.
Every single one said that he describes himself as “lifelong libertarian.” Does everybody lie except Paul?
I have never said he wasn’t a good person, just incredibly naive’

You dont seem to want to accept the fact that youre dealing with an expert in guerilla warfare. With a man whos the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man whos been trained to ignore pain, to ignore weather, to live off the land. To eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In Vietnam his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill, period! Win by attrition. Well, Ronpo was the best!Just to clarify, we are, of course, talking about this particular Vietnam-Conflict Veteran:

US Air Force Flight Surgeon Dr. Ron Paul
And not this guy:

"What? You must be daft -- Me? Serve in the Military? That's for peasants... I'm much too busy making $20 Million dollars in legal consulting fees selling out America's Border to the NAFTA Superhighway!"
Or, for that matter, this guy:

"Well, Golly-gee... of course I deeply wanted to serve in Vietnam, really I did, but you must understand I had much more important things to do at the time."
Or, while we're at it, this guy:

"Evaded service in Vietnam? Well, now, surely y'all can plainly understand that my incomparable legal talents were needed to destroy a sitting Republican President at that time. Y'all don't think I coulda built a profitable Pro-Abortion lobbying bidness if'n I hadn't established my Washington Beltway street cred, do y'all?"
Hmmmm....
And, since the RudyBots, RomneyBots, and FredBots apparently can't bear to stand a bit of ribbing, please note the following Tag:
/Sarcasm
The above quotations are intended purely as primary-campaign Satire (albeit sadly accurate, IMO)
Best, OP

"So return the GOP to its pro-freedom roots and they will not leave the Party."
Yes, that's right. IF the Republican Party returns to the conservative principles it stood for in the past (including fiscal conservatism), it will regain its former stature.
This cannot happen with a nutcase like Paul, and that is absolutely not the answer.
If he pulls a Ross Perot in 2008 (3rd Party), the same thing that resulted in the FIRST Clinton election will repeat itself, and the support from the loonie Left for Paul is what is driving his poll numbers, to assure a Democrat win with a 3rd Party Paul candidacy.
To: Extremely Extreme Extremist
"All of Dr. Paul's money is coming from individuals"Yeah; like "Dishwashers for Hillary", we have "homeless persons for Paul" and "Carwash attendants for Paul", etc.
Get a grip....Paul is the Kucinich of the Republican Party.

active duty Marine Corps Sergeants: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-rlc/1921154/posts?page=171#171Bad news.
"They" have Banned "USMC_Izzy."
Military support for Ron Paul -- like Jewish support for Ron Paul -- has apparently become a Banned Subject on "Free Republic".
Word to the wise. Watch your six.
