Ron Paul [R-TX] Stands out from the Crowd
YouTube ^ | 20070606 | AnimusLiberti

Despite a limited format with CNN, last night, Rep Ron Paul MD [R-TX] continues to stand out from that crowd.

Particularly, the focus brought to a Christian "Just War" and how he alone declared the immorality of discussing PreEmptive Nuclear Attacks upon a Nation that has not harmed us, namely Iran. Also, his points that the Operation Enduring Freedom is serving a Policeman's role hits us with the impossibilities we have pitted our Brave Forces against.

We need the courage of a Ron Paul!!!!

Go Ron Go!!!

Go Ron Go!!!

Go Ron Go!!!

“Ron Paul is not Jesus. You do know that, right?”

How can I know that, if I don’t compare them?

He is basically just saying we should know what we are getting ourselves into before we get involved. As cynical as I am, I still am amazed at how little knowledge many, if not most, of our elected leaders have of the world at present, its history, and how we can influence the future. In fact, it is outright scary.

I was at the debate in NH last night. Ron Paul had the largest, and most vocal, group of supporters of all the candidates. A lot of them didn’t even bother with chants because they were drowned out by constant cheers for Ron Paul, liberty, and the Constitution. It was really cool to see.

But, if you don't have the 66% in Votes there can be no War. This is the Constitution.

Yeah? Where? The power to declare war is found in Article I, Sec 8. There is nothing about a two thirds majority to do so.

I lived in Saudi Arabia for five years, and was a student of Islam and the history. It is difficult for us in the West to comprehend the Islamic culture. Their religion is really their culture. They view life with a fatalistic view, since according to the Koran, Allah exists in all the molecules in everything, constantly manipulating our lives. Christians believe in free will, as articulated by St. Augustine. We are much more individualistic in our thinking. They are very much tied to their religion, family, and tribe.
Changes are taking place in the Middle East, but they will be slow. Bush’s democracy programme for Iraq is naive, but it does point them in the right direction. Turkey managed to come up with a relatively democratic government these past 85 years. Of course, I believe the Iraqis will need to fight it out among themselves before they reach a consensus on government.

You are the one who brought up Brave New World.

No, he used the phrase in a sentence. You are aware it predates the Huxley novel by many years, aren't you?

Would you care to put a number on how many innocent casualties you would be willing to accept to prevent other innocent people possibly coming to harm as a result of failure to act?

Well, let's see, there are about 1 billion muzzies in the world today...that seems like a good number to me.

Germany never harmed us.

They did, however, declare war on us. In ww2 anyway.

The logo for libertarians is the Statue of Liberty.

Ironic that the crowds that seem to be promoting Ron Paul at the moment see the Statue of Liberty more like this

I was not aware that the phrase predated the novel.

Would I be flamed for saying; "New World Order" in a sentence?

I'm guessing probably not because it doesn't mean anything to you guys.

They do? Or are you just not able to understand what they are saying?
