An Abortion Free America by Jan 2005

An Abortion Free American by January 2005 May 14, 2004

I am Michael A. Peroutka and I am running for President on the Constitution Party ticket. I am 100% pro-life, all nine months, no exceptions. In fact, I am so pro-life, that if elected I promise that abortion will end my first day in office.

As President, I would advocate a total ban on all abortions and a total ban on any federal funding of abortions, here or abroad.

As President, I would do everything in my power to end the national disgrace of abortion, starting with a formal acknowledgment of the legal person-hood of every child from the moment of conception. I would appoint U.S. Attorneys – by recess appointment if necessary – who will enforce the Fifth Amendment requirement that no person be deprived of life without due process of law.

It is, by the way, within the power of the President to end abortion tomorrow, as I would do my first day in office. Don't let alleged "pro-life" Presidents tell you differently. The President has an obligation under Article IV, §4 to ensure to each member State that it will be republican in form of government. Any action that is not republican in form will be utterly resisted to the grave if necessary under a Peroutka Presidency. Abortion was made "legal" (more correctly, the prosecution of abortion was made illegal) in these United States by judicial fiat, which is anti-republican in form and in violation of the Separation of Powers and Article I, §1 of the Constitution vesting all legislative power of the Federal Government in the Congress. In an American form of government, "all laws which are repugnant to the Constitution are null and void." Marbury v. Madison. Most certainly, anti-Constitutional court decisions are not binding.

Thus, under my presidency, Roe v. Wade will not be enforced, and the member states of the Union could again open their criminal codes and begin the prosecution of the doctors and parents who would contract for the murder of an unborn child without fear of reprisal from the Chief Executive.

Your a waste of band width regarding this issue. You are on a conservative website telling conservatives to throw their vote away for some party with retarded rationale.

It is insanity you are backing here.

The CP is the fastest growing party in the US.

Please show us some raw data...how many party members are there, how many are actually on ballots this fall, etc.

I have no doubt that IF this party were viable, many conservatives would join it.

It just does not look like it will be viable any time soon. (And I know Peg Luksic personally, so I've discussed this with one of their candidates in the past when she ran against Ridge.)

I liked it the way it was pre-Roe v. Wade. Abortion was legal in some states and illegal in others. That's because the American people hadn't made up its mind on the issue. That's the beauty of a federal system.

It makes it possible for 50 legislative laboratories to try different combinations of tax structures, intrusive regulation, etc. People are then free to vote with their feet to live in a legal environment closest to their own values.

That all got short circuited by a majority of 9 non-elected justices legislating from the bench. Congress -- being subject to popular vote -- didn't have the b*lls to hash the issue out on the floor for all to see.

This is why the Left is so hysterical about controlling SCOTUS. As Bork had put it, potential justices who would simply interpret the law in terms of the Constitution are a threat. Elitist legislation would never pass in Congress, so it must be imposed by Philosopher Kings in robes.

BTW, this 3rd party candidate makes me suspicious because he's not saying how his proposals will get passed through both houses of Congress. Big on promises, small on explanations, like a cult leader or salesman.

ooohhhh that's right....if you're so dense to believe that I'm sure you must think that President Bush is "pro 2nd amendment" too.

Well he should just outlaw amendments while he's at it. Abortion is taken as a constitutional right per Roe v Wade.

He can ban it. It'll just get overturned the moment it's challenged.

Although I never took them seriously, I loved to watch Perot then buchanan telling their audiences what they would do as President and how they would force issues. I loved contemplating how Perot would try to pull his CEO style on Congress or buchanan his populist spouting...they would have eaten either of them for lunch.

Not enforcing laws one doesn't like is anarchy, my friend. It is extra-Constitutional.

And, the Constitution Party has never pulled more than half-a-million votes in any election.

So your "millions of Christians" assertion is just nonsense.

a true conservative wouldn't be throwing his vote away on a man who isn't convervative. saying President Bush is conservative is like saying Madonna is a role model for children.

No thanks.

All I know about Peroutka is that he does not support the war on terrorism.

And that's enough to forego my support of him.

The diffence is that Michael Peroutka is a bible believing, honest man who isn't afraid to speak his mind and stand by what he says.

And God bless him for that. But you know who else would be a great president? My pastor. Of course, you probably don't know him... How about Dr. Dobson? Or Billy Graham? Or Franklin Graham? He's on the board of directors for my church--pretty swell guy. Of course, despite their incredible qualifications none of those people is running for president. We could still do a write-in vote. Now, tell me, what is going to accomplish? Do you think if we all wrote in separate pro-life candiates, that would make a squat of difference in the election? If you don't, well, that is the exact same reason you should vote for Bush instead of for anyone else, even if they are personally more appealing to you.

If there were no pro-life candidates in the major parties then that is when we should start voting third party. But we are not playing out political differences here. Politics is entirely irrelevant--the lives of millions of children are on the line. Bush is our best bet for saving lives. He *will* appoint pro-life justices in his next term. Now is not the time to criticize him for not being ardent enough about his pro-life position. Our chances for overturning Roe vs. Wade hinge on Bush getting elected next term. Go with Constitution Party when you vote for your senator, go with them when you vote for your congressperson, go with them whenever else, BUT YOU MUST VOTE FOR BUSH IN 2004. HE CAN KILL ROE VS. WADE. HE CAN HELP US STOP THE SLAUGHTER OF THOUSANDS OF INNOCENT LIVES.

"a true conservative wouldn't be throwing his vote away on a man who isn't convervative"

Voting for a 3rd party candidate who is closer to your perspective on your single-issue IS throwing your vote away. JFKerry is hoping that you vote for this guy -- what does that tell you?

I'm a libertarian, but I always vote Republican, because to do otherwise would lead to electing people [like JFKerry] who would lead America to National Socialism.

'Principle over politics' indeed.
