All happens according to God's divine providence, and if God has seen fit to send these priests to us like an invading army of Vandals into Rome, it must be because it is necessary for our sanctification.

What a weird, Old Testament (and fundamentally an-ecclesial) understanding of God's dealing with his people you offer! A God hungering for excuses to damn sinners and not to save them would be unworthy of worship.

Let's not blame God for the sins of men, shall we?
