unfortunately.....this above statement could be made (and,in fact, is always made) by ANY COMBATANT in any conflict.....

.....just change the

"they" and the
"we" around......

(I assume in this case the "we" represents the united states and the "they" the iraqis....)

but who can tell for sure.

doesn't seem like anyone is getting "liberated" to me!!!.......so "we-ALL" must actually be operating under a different scenario.......

Right. A conflict. Don't expect any kissing or hugging in the near term, or long.

No way that Sadaam's kindfolk would ever want to be "liberated,"from his rule or that they will become our friends in the near term. Might as well expect Arafat to embrace the Jews--Oh, we tried that, right?
