Thank You so much!

He is very week now. And has lost a lot of weight. Stays on the couch most of the day because he cannot walk very far. And now has lost most of his hair. His blood counts have been good. His ANC numbers have been low. The chemo drugs knock them down.

My wife has to keep an eye on him all the time. She has very little time to herself. This is a big drain on her. I have been working more and have not been able to be at home much at all, so she is really under a lot of pressure.

On the bright side, his Doctor is saying all is proceeding as expected and these are the toughest times.

Again thanks for everyones prayers!

Our little friend Dustin, and his mommy (and his daddy too), need a renewal of the prayer warrior's efforts!! This little one is going through so much and is being so brave.

My family can tell you that there is no fear that strikes the hearts of parents, as that of a sick child. And nothing is harder on a mommy and daddy than watching their little one suffer.

Please join us in prayer for this family.

God Bless you all....

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that You know the number of the hairs on our heads ... You know even the loss of the number on precious Dustin. May this be cause for petition and hope, O God, that the chemo is reaching and destroying every destructive cell, yet sparing those needed for renewed health. Be with Dustin upon his couch .. may his Mom be aware of Your presence with them, for You have promised to be with us, even to the end of the age.

These are the toughest of times in the life of this little boy, but You are stronger, Merciful Father, than any disease that can take hold. By the Power of Your healing hand, loose this disease from this child and heal him, in the Name of Jesus, I pray. Give respite to the breaking hearts of Mom and Dad ... may they find reassurance in Your word and in Your people and in the power of prayer. We knit our hearts for this dear family ... abundantly bless them this day, and each day hereafter, to the Glory of Your Name, Amen ...

Thanks for the ping, Termite.

Sausageseller, I know the pain of having a sick child.
May the Good Lord provide you with the strength to go forth each day.

Dear Lord, we ask for complete healing for this child.
Please hold him in your arms and give him your love and comfort.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.

Thanks for the update, that darn chemo is such a mixed bag.So much potential for good, delivered in a vehicle that's not at all comfortable;what a cross for you and your wife,to say nothing about poor little Duatin.

My prayers for you and your family continue and I hope this Holy Week will bring a turning point in Dustin's illness and everything will proceed to a complete recovery quickly.Love and prayers, sara.

Thank You very much.

They went to his Grandmothers and fathers lake house and went fishing Tuesday. They carried him down to the dock and put him in his "fishing chair". He caught several nice croppies. He was very tied by the time they made it home. (I think they may have over did it)

Sissy (my wife) took Dustin down to Riley Children's Hospital yesterday( Wensday) For a check up. His blood counts were low so they gave him platelets. They had to wait till about 5 o'clock. They said there was a shortage. And had to beg for them ( Good reason for me to go give blood!) His ANC numbers came back low. He had a temperature of 101, and several other complications so they admitted him to the inpatient part of Hospital. He is now on the 5th floor with the other kids with cancer. He is there again tonight and we don't know if they will let him come home tomorrow or not. We are waiting on things to stabilize. And for his Blood count numbers to come up.

These are the toughest times so far in this battle.I know god has his hand on Dustin and is seeing him through this!

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that Dustin was able to join in activities that are so delightful for children. May he be set aside just the shortest time, but while he awaits the return to acceptable blood levels, let him dwell on the fun of being at the lake. Encourage his heart that he will do this again, with greater strength.

Hear the heart cry of his parents, O God, for they know these are the toughest times for their precious son. Strengthen each one in body and in spirit ... may they rest in Your promise that Your grace is sufficient for even the most difficult days. Restore this child to health, Merciful Father,in the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...

Good News!

I went and picked up Dustin and his mom from the hospital today!

His blood counts came back good and he had no fever for 24 hours. He still has a bad cough and has little strength.

It seems we are on a emotional and physical roller coaster. Thank you for the prayers!
