They went to his Grandmothers and fathers lake house and went fishing Tuesday. They carried him down to the dock and put him in his "fishing chair". He caught several nice croppies. He was very tied by the time they made it home. (I think they may have over did it)
Sissy (my wife) took Dustin down to Riley Children's Hospital yesterday( Wensday) For a check up. His blood counts were low so they gave him platelets. They had to wait till about 5 o'clock. They said there was a shortage. And had to beg for them ( Good reason for me to go give blood!) His ANC numbers came back low. He had a temperature of 101, and several other complications so they admitted him to the inpatient part of Hospital. He is now on the 5th floor with the other kids with cancer. He is there again tonight and we don't know if they will let him come home tomorrow or not. We are waiting on things to stabilize. And for his Blood count numbers to come up.
These are the toughest times so far in this battle.I know god has his hand on Dustin and is seeing him through this!
Hear the heart cry of his parents, O God, for they know these are the toughest times for their precious son. Strengthen each one in body and in spirit ... may they rest in Your promise that Your grace is sufficient for even the most difficult days. Restore this child to health, Merciful Father,in the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...
I went and picked up Dustin and his mom from the hospital today!
His blood counts came back good and he had no fever for 24 hours. He still has a bad cough and has little strength.
It seems we are on a emotional and physical roller coaster. Thank you for the prayers!
