I am an Amyraldian. I do not affirm limited atonement although I concede the logic of the position. Several biblical passages [especially 2 Peter 2:1-2] keep me in the unlimited atonement camp. However, many of the texts unlimited atonement advocates site for their position I find unconvincing (2 Peter 3:9).

As to Palmer's comment.. sounds like he is arguing for a logical consistency (I have not read his comment in context recently).
