RW, several of the links above have old, old material, dig around in them and I bet you will find something useful.

I did find a great article by Bonar called "God's Will and Man's Will." It would greatly complement my column on pride I am planning to write, as a major cause of pride is believing you have control. Understanding that you don't is humbling.

Thanks for the offer. Probably I will just use material in the public domain or print individual articles with permission here and there, maybe only in 4 issues out of the whole year. I don't anticipate doing it much, as I am serious about this being a newspaper, not a printed publication with pages of essays (for one thing, filling up a page with an article would make this more magaziny, which I don't want...it would lose thet newspaper design quality and force the page to be a sea of text with not much to break it up except pulled quotes). The only way this would become a big thing would be if I found a short enough book in the public domain with important and understandable writing that deserved to be published in a series fashion (like newspapers in the 1800's did as a staple of their publications). Otherwise, my only exception to the "serious newspaper" rule I have as the bigshot is that I will print a page of student-submitted work, such as poetry, pictures of artwork, cartoons, etc. if I get enough submissions for the purpose of trying to get student readership up and more students involved in the newspaper.
However, I take my responsibility to serve this CHRISTIAN college seriously and believe doctrine must be discussed in the paper, with at the very least a couple WSC questions each issue. I also realize that the entire community gets this newspaper since it is printed as a section in the community newspaper. I have an opportunity to spread the Gospel and it would be a shame not to do so with this publication.
But, I would prefer famous writers than folks on FR to include for major articles and possibly devotional works of the Reformed bent. Occasionally, the student chaplain also did a devotional in the past and I will consider restarting that for this year. I believe it would be a very valuable and important service to restart. I just need to find out who the student chaplain is this year first of course.

"Dante's T-Shirt" (front)
"SONO ANDATO ALL'INFERNO E RITORNO CON SOLO QUESTA CAMICIA DIABOLICA"
Or, translated from the Italian, "I went to Hell and all I got was this damned t-shirt".
I ordered this one.

Have you looked at REFORMATION INK? =
http://homepage.mac.com/shanerosenthal/reformationink/index.html This is a great website filled with Reformed short articles on almost every topic imaginable, written by well regarded men, you will also find classic Reformed resources, such as the Westminster Confession of Faith, Heidelburg Catachism, ect.
Many of these articles were written long before 1925.. so this should be helpful to you in your search for material.
The guy who runs this site is Shane Rosenthal, who was the on air producer for THE WHITE HORSE INN, with Dr. Michael Horton.. great Reformed teaching on this program ~

Thanks to the bard of the GRPL, Dr. Eckleburg, for resurrecting this thread!!
Here are a couple more worthy links:

A group of reformed African-Americans who, when asked How does an African-American embrace Reformed Theology when some of the Reformed Theological heroes advocated and even practiced Slavery? answer We do not embrace the theology of flawed men, we embrace the theology of the Bible, which is at its core Reformational.
