"Most have become stay-at-home mothers."

And I'm sure they love their jobs!

This whole concept that women are wild to work is a bunch of baloney. Yes, some high-powered career babes want to pursue sucess in the work-place, but that is certainly not MOST women. MOST women, imho, would be more than happy to work for a few years while they are young, get married, have kids and stay home and take care of their families.

Earning $15-25 thousand a year as a secretary is not a career, it's a job. Almost any woman I've known and worked with (at least the ones who have kids) would happily call in "retired!" if they and their families could afford it.

It is the gov't imposed tax burden that is killing the cohesion of the American family. These women are NOT working out of personal ambition, or merely so they can drive SUVs. They are working to provide a decent life for their families, they are glad they are able to do so, but they would be gladder still if they didn't have to.

I get very tired of seeing working mothers lambasted for their supposed "greed" and/or "ambition". It makes me wonder if anybody knows any secretaries, or waitresses, or hairdressers.
