You are absolutely right here - and lack of orthodoxy is the reason why introducing married priests now might be disastrous.

There are already too many deacons who flout the Church's teaching on contraception and this problem would be compounded if we had men celebrating Mass who were in a constant state of mortal sin.

While I am not theologically opposed to the idea of married priests, the Church would really need to wait for all those Judas priests who have left to marry, die out before it would be a realistic possibility.

Otherwise few bishops would have the strength to refuse these traitors the chance to come back with all their other dissident agendas.

Right on! To let them back would be the untimate betrayal of those priests who gave their all to Mother Church.
