"we've always had consecration bells"

When I heard them I almost burst into tears. It was like hearing the voice of an old friend whom you thought was dead. Apparently the liturgical nazis decided for us that the bells were meaningless and got rid of them.
We also kneel from the Sanctus to the great amen. A few years ago our priest put a note in the bulletin that we are to sit after Communion. The majority of the people in our parish still kneel. It just feels like a more appropriate response after you receive Our Lord in the Eucharist.
