It wasn't an N.O., the structure of the Mass was entirely different. It was classified as the Indult and some sort of modification of the Tridentine according to the 1962 missal. The priests were usually from out of town. They had to travel up and down the Valley all day to say the Masses. One priest was retired and extremely old. I couldn't understand a word he said. There was another Cuban or Puerto Rican priest who I loved. He died of heart problems though. Don't know who they have saying it now.

I am reasonably up on the rubrics for the OldRite as I was the choir director for the authorized ORMass in town for 10+ years.

Something's screwy, although I HAVE seen an NO Mass said in such a way that you would swear it was Old Rite. Under the NO rubrics, there are so many options that you can actually do it that way...

Otherwise, you were sold a bill of goods.
