Thank you....I not sure if you meant sarcasm/joke or serious...

A little of each. Over the last few years, we've had a number of threads like these. In the some mean person (often me) posts the picture of the pope kissing and adoring the Koran. You got here a little late. We have progressed to the point where our Roman friends no longer deny that he did it, an ecumenical breakthrough if ever I saw one.

As our friends from the various Roman churches could attest, I have on many occasions pointed out how different this pope who claims a throne of Peter's is from Peter and the martyrs of the early church. Rather than offer a token sacrifice or to so much as bow their knees in obeisance to the Roman god-emperor as an exercise in a civic religion in which no one actually believed, they instead sacrificed their lives in testimony to Christ. Their hallowed testimony even to the point of cruel death is what established and built the early church and brought it to victory over the Roman empire.

How different this current pretender to Peter's legacy behaves from the ancient martyrs to whom all of us who are orthodox Christians may lay a spiritual claim. Except for this pope and his most deluded followers because they repudiate their own saints' practices and testimony. It is worth noting that not all the adherents of Rome's authority are willing to endorse this pope's actions, particularly his whoring after false gods or in kissing a Koran when those same Muslims are daily murdering and raping persecuted Christians in Arab lands, generally with the tacit approval of the Arab governments. This pope is a cowardly idolator and could hardly be further from the picture of devout conservative Roman orthodoxy that his sycophants paint him to be.

It gets me, I think I understand why you protestants hate papists so. True, I not deny I have brought protestant friend to Orthodox faith and invited others before...but if they say no, then thats it...if they ask I tell more...some times stear conversation and tell but never pressure if no then no. But these guys...for 1000 years we say no, so they don't listen and then get angry and bring armies...just like the jihadies.

Love their threats of Jihadi or unite...where were they to help during last 400 years? Oh, yeah, allieing with Sultans against only Orthodox nation still left at that time: Russia.
