ARE THE ALTAR CALL AND SINNER'S PRAYER BIBLICAL?

Is the altar call, sinner's prayer, Jesus as Personal Saviour, etc. Biblical? Or are we peddling a false gospel, a modern gos-pill that is easy to swallow but doesn't cure man's disease: a sin sick soul? why don't you just bump your earlier thread instead of creating a new one?

Because I figured believers might be more interested in the article if the title reflected some of the more controversial aspects of the article (Sinner's Prayer, Altar Call), rather than the more general title: "What's Wrong With The Gospel?" It was a lame attempt to awaken interest in the article.
