Interesting idea, but I think that this is more like the conversations on judgement day will sound:
You: Hi, God. Wow-impressive Book and Judgement Seat and Lake of Fire you've got there. In case it's not in your Book, I just want to tell you that I never committed any bad sins, and I always listened to my pastor and I always-
God: (Interrupting) What of My Son, Jesus?
You: He's cool; but I was going to tell you about how I ALWAYS believed in biblical creation, and even argued with folks who didn't!
God: That's good of you, but I can defend myself just fine. What of My Son, Jesus?
You: Gulp!
We must be careful what we preach. Paul preached Christ and Him crucified. We can work on their history once the Holy Spirit is working in them.

Had not the issue of 'what to do with this Jesus' already been cleared up, the conversation would be much, much shorter.
