We go to church for love

It is a striking statement, and true.

While I reached out to the Church looking for peace, love is exactly what I found.

Those who believe themselves perhaps beyond redemption are all the more in awe of this love when they find it.

At the Greek Church in Long Beach that I'm attending while on contract, the priest made a point of saying that the first thing we receive when we come to church is Christ's love.

How very true!
