People will either believe or they won't. The adroitly promised plenary indulgences for all who can expunge the record of Mother's dirty laundry is a successful tool that has been used for centuries. Nevertheless, His truth is marching on.
So will fans of Pat Robertson and readers of Christianity Today, I suspect. The book itself is published by Jack Chick - I'd hoped that a third party could have substantiated Rivera's claims, rather than the very same company that had published the original work. I have no doubts that the RCC has hopes and plans to bring every soul into her fold. I would expect similar plans coming from any Protestant denomination, too. There's nothing inherently evil about making plans to convert the world. What makes them evil is what someone wants to convert it into.
To that end, what the Jesuit conspiracy contains are four distinct, unspoken assumptions regarding the Jesuits' intentions and what constitutes "true" faith:
1) There are a great deal of additional activities and doctrines under the "minimum requirements" for saving faith, based on the home URL behind this article. Things like KJV-only study, specific modes/methods of baptism, specific eschatologies, etc. And Catholic doctrines are assumed to be anti-biblical enough to damn and doom the souls of any that fall under her fold, regardless of any doctrines shared with Protestants, ie the Nature of God, work of Christ, etc.
2) The Catholic/Jesuit heirarchy actually and overtly worship Satan in her own private worship. The RCC intentionally deceives and traps Catholics within a web of false doctrines and practices - in fact, all non-believers are fully conscious of the truth and their rebellion to it.
3) The premillennial, pretribulational view of future events is the only legitimate, Biblical interpretation of the prophecies in Daniel and Revelations. Even unbelievers agree with this particular interpretation of events, and proponents of any other eschatology are heretical and intentionally deceptive by nature. The RCC must be the Great Whore of Babylon in this conspiracy's view, and not (assuming the worst otherwise) just another corrupt organization seeking power on Earth.
I do not agree with any of these assumptions. For those reasons, I don't agree with the accusations/conclusions that the RCC is an inherently evil organization bent on ruling the world to the glory of her secret god Satan, and thus I am suspect of Alberto Rivera and Jack Chick's credentials and intentions in the matter.
