I agree that homosexuals in America should have the same basic civil rights as others in America,....the right to be incarcerated for their heinous behavior and assault upon the institution of marriage, natural law, and equal rights of law abiding citizens.

God Bless Polycarp in his efforts to maintain a righteous policy within the Church leadership.

So I guess you also believe adulters, fornicators and all those who have sex outside of marriage should be stoned and/or incarcerated for their immoral behavior...unless of course you have no problem with... and bless the sort of homophobic hypocrisy we've seen by some on these boards.

Yes, people who violate the sanctity of marriage and destroy a marriage between a man and woman which was sworn before God are in violation of that covenant.

They also violate the righteous Spirit.

There is nothing wrong in a nation enforcing Divine will.

Most importantly all persons of that group fail to meet the criterion to be leaders (deacons, elders, pastors, priests) in the Church. Not everybody is qualified to be in senior positions in the Church. Admitting an avowed, unrepentant homosexual into Church leadership is similar to advancing a murderer into the same position. Both are inappropriate.
