I thought Catholics weren't supposed to partake of any secret groups...and here we have a bunch of priests forming one?! No, the Church forbid members from joining secret societies, i.e. Masons, Knights Templar, etc. This is something different.
By the title as a federation I would think it does come under the secret society ban. For all we know this is a larger scale group than meets the eye.
