Our church, too, was vandlized this last weekend. Fire extinguisher poured forth everywhere. Wine all over the seats. Easter candle broken.

The thieves were mad because the moneys are now being handled differently and they were not able to steal the collection as they did as Christmas and Easter.

It's been a rough year.

Here is Newsday's report on the incident:

Church Vandalism

Check out the picture of the church windows - all of them are covered with bars. Farmingville is not an affluent community. The window bars (and alarm system that failed) would seem to indicate that this church was expecting problems.

It's tragic, none the less.

That part I don't know. But I think people would have told me if they had gotten to the tabernacle.
