an omniscient and omnipotent Creator would be able to enjoy experiencing emotions like curiosity, excitement, anticipation, frustration, and others that could not be experienced in a creation where the entire outcome was known long before its inception.

Very good post, so real. This is the message from the biblical prophets that you have understood from reading the bible. God has feelings. We can hurt His feelings. Imagine that. I cry when I realize how callous I was to Him.

But just like a parent who knows their child will sometimes hurt them, so too does God know we will hurt Him through sin and denial.

And God knew that from before we were even born. He's the potter; we're the clay.

That was my reaction too. I do believe God has separated Himself from us so that we might exercise free will, and just as exercising it against Him brings Him sorrow, exercising it for Him brings Him joy. We've all been callous to God (He expects that), but I'd be willing to bet you've brought Him a lot of smiles too (and that's a treat for any parent!).
