Maybe they all converted to Catholicism ;-)

I came back to the Church three years ago because a Protestant friend attacked Catholicism, but I had no answers for him. I started reading and learning, and attending Mass weekly. I feel the Holy Spirit used my friend to get me off my lazy butt.

Many of the Protestants here have also challenged my faith, giving me the opportuntity to research and learn more about the richness and fullness of my Church. For the most part, I have enjoyed these discussions -- when they didn't get personal or petty and when those in conversation didn't resort to mean-spirited attacks and name-calling.

I've missed these debates, but I'm partly to blame. During the last trimester of my pregnancy, I was too tired to spend much time on FR, and now that my baby is 2 weeks old I still don't have the time or energy.

But if I'm pinged, I try to engage. Maybe everyone thinks we've said it all ...

Congrats on the baby! You need not worry about anything getting stale, because by the time you are able to get back to serious posting (s)he will be in Kindergarten!

Totus tuus suggested that I become the next Pope. I will, if elected, take the name Pope Piel, the Pocket Fisher of Men.

I am already assembling my team. Care to be a Cardinalette? Several FR Catholics and FR Protestants have accepted positions of responsibility. Who says FR doesn't foster an ecumenical spirit?
