OBSERVATIONS:
[1] There seems to be a significantly reduced number of Protestant Threads (KJV Only being the exception for sure) in the FR Religion Forum.
[2] There seems to be a reduced number of FR Protestant posts in the Religion Forum.
This thread is a place to discuss these observations.
It is only reasonly that the fight in Irland that the Catholics are not being shot by the Protestants.
America was very anti Catholic in the early 1900's there were signs Irish need not apply! When looking for work!
I agree it only takes a handful to create hell for the rest, but silence is part of enabling!
Did you ever see the movie Birth of a Nation by D W Griffit? He worte serval books on the KKK and was well received in those days!
If America would have renouced those books in those days which was 90% Protestant than. We would not have the title Races or the laws of the land changed to protect the other citizens. It was not until the late 60's the Jewish folks could stay in Hotels!
Our founding fathers would have ended slavery in the original draft of the constitution, but amny in this Christian Nation were not mature enough, to know this was wrong so America had to wait for the this Christain Nation to grow up or change the population!
How many of the founding fathers were LDS?
The Prophet Joseph Smith has done more, save Jesus Christ only, for the salvation of this world than any other man who has lived in it.
Really ?
Tell me ... how many LDS (i.e. the fruit of Joseph Smith) ?
Compared to two billion (i.e. the fruit of the New Testament Apostles) ?
You misunderstood. And no, I won't bother to explain why.
Okay, so you know I don't agree. But help me understand your belief here. Just exactly how does that work?
I mean, I vaguely understand your concept of baptism for the dead. But a long while back, when it was mentioned that John Wesley was on the LDS rolls, it was said that he "asked" to be baptized into the LDS faith.
Is that correct? Do you believe the dead ask to be baptized? Is that a requirement for baptism of the dead (that they ask)?
This probably requires a longer explanation than you can put in one post, so if you want to point me to a link, I'll read it.
Thanks.
Was it not the Elite WASP that In the late 1960 from eating at the WASP lunch counter or get employment, or could they join the WASP clubs?
When was the first Catholic/Jewish allowed to join these WASP Clubs?
Who's history is this?
Humm?
The Deist?
The LDS had nothing to do with this Segregation
But, according to Illbay, they do now.
Where do you think we're getting our converts from?
Where do you think that you're getting your converts from ?
Corin Stormhands are you NOT being MISLEADING by that statement!
off to work!
One man's nasty belittling is another man's question. You're a little trigger happy there pal.
But as a reader on FR, I hate to see people's names mispelled. It's CORIN, not CORNIN.
Thanks bunches.
I enjoyed it for a while, but got tired of it. Too much arguing and not enough joy. Too much of the same topics and the same people, over and over.
jweaks
I didn't say that.
"shut up, you have nothing to say because your religion is not that of Sam Adams and George Washington, etc."
I also did not say that.
And if you'd pay attention rather than trying to be hall monitor you'll read above where I said to Illbay that I disagree with his assessment, but I would like to better understand how the LDS come to that conclusion.
You're the one distracting here. Not me. You're so hell-bent on trying to pin down what you "think" I'm saying that you're going off on a tangent. When I want to say something, I'll say it.
Go get a bran muffin and a cup of coffee. And maybe a reading course.
