In the ancient Hebrew marriage, the two were considered husband and wife during the time they lived in separation untill the great day of their joining at the marriage supper. It was the time of the Bride's Preparation, during which she would ready herself for marriage. She would learn to say goodbye to the house and the life she had known all her life. If you have received Jesus, you are here for a great purpose, to get ready for your eternal marriage.
If you've gotten caught up in money and success and houses and business and circumstances, you've forgotten the whole point. The Bride doesn't spend her engagement preparing her house, she's leaving it! She learns that the point of her life is not good times or avoiding bad times, but each is there to prepare her for her new home. You've got a big and beautiful eternity ahead, redeem the time you have left and get ready.
TODAY'S MISSION
What can you do today to make the most of your time, for His purposes and in His will? Do it.
Psalm 62:2
He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.
20. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
