This pope was explained to me in a long-ago prophecy class as the "laboring sun" pope for the following reason: The sun is representative of God in the solar system, and the darkened sun is explained by his training coming from a nation in which God was forbidden to be taught publicly, hence the "laboring sun" or eclipse of the sun (darkened Sun). I, along with most of the class laughed at the idea of a pope coming from an iron curtain country, especially the Italians in the our little group.....However, the priest was right in 1964. We have a Polish pope, who, until the great Dominican teacher, Reginald Garrigou La Grange, taught him in the Angelicum in Rome, had a very poor religious formation due to his early religious training coming from behind the iron curtain in a forbidden seminary. This probably explains his startlingly inept and goofy behavior at times, which is certainly close to blasphemy, or in fact, is blasphemous(e.g.Kissing the Koran). Even a small town catholic school in America had better equipped teachers than JP II had in his home country.
The next pope will be "Gloriae Olivae" or from the glory of the olive. He will be an Olivetan branch Benedictine, who will, as God promised St Benedict, restore the church..ANOTHER MONK!!! GREAT!!!.The larger question is: How long between Popes will Rome be occupied by the enemy, who is firmly ensconced there presently?
St Malachy's predictions are simply a comfort to us, as is the rest of prophecy. Fun, but maybe inaccurrate. PAX and pray hard for the troops...

Interesting explanation, actually a comfort to a degree, in helping us understand the strange incidents. I can't help but wonder if some Cardinals elected him because they thought he would be easily handled.

Do you think the next Pope will be a Benedictine before he is elected or do think there is a possibility that he will by necessity become one?
