Great Ambition

Ambition. As believers, we know that it is a worldly thing and not good to have...Right? Or at least ambition to be great is not a good thing for believers to have...Right? Wrong. Messiah said, "He who would be greatest among you must be the servant of all." So the desire for greatness is not wrong in itself, only when the greatness is selfish or self-serving. The Lord is saying, "Do you have the ambition for greatness? Good! Be great in humility. Be great in servanthood. Be great in giving, in love..."

So if you want to be truly great, turn ambition to Godliness. That doesn't come by being great at business, great with money, great with status, it comes by being great with God. God showed us His greatness not by conquering, not with riches, not by status, but by lowering Himself to dwell among us being the servant of all. For the greatest One of all is God. And the greatest thing is Love. So be great. Be ambitious. But be ambitious in what is truly great...the Love of God.

TODAY'S MISSION
Go "above and beyond" today to share God's Love with those who need. Get real ambitious and zealous about being great in love, godliness, and joy. Then go out and do great things.

Luke 9:46-48
46) Then a dispute arose among them as to which of them would be greatest. 47) And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a little child and set him by Him, 48) and said to them, "Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is least among you all will be great."
