I dont know much about you, so perhaps I am out of line, but I do wonder why you are so contrary about this wonderful picture of a soldier, openly and publicly being baptised....
Sometimes during the most dire circumstances, the Lord will draw those He loves, to strengthen them and provide for them...at least that is how I see it...
War is awful and horrendous, tho sometimes necessary...and if many are drawn to the Lord, in this horrendous and scarey time, then yes, it is one good and awesome result of the war...

I am not. It is just that a baptism is about one's personal relationship with God, whereas warfare is a human conflagration.
The "awesome result" of this war will be Iraqi freedom.
You might also consider that this freedom may lead to increased liberties for the Christian minority in Iraq. That would be a good candidate for "the most awesome result of the war."
It's simply a matter of perspective. I am not criticizing.
