I've often wondered how I would react under such conditions and wondered how these people could be so brave. It has to be graces from God because some of the things I've read about are just not survivable, mentally or physically, without the supernatural power of God.
On the bright side, God is ever present and our prayers and our gifts will help. Despite all the hardships imposed by the communists the Church still survives just as the early Christians survived persecution.
Graces to be sure. And Our Lady. And Our Lord sending His Holy Spirit to strengthen them in their resolve under such horrors.
