The Wicked Bible Version
Sapphires | Jonathan Cahn

Posted on 02/28/2003 12:02:13 PM PST by WhatNot

Have you ever heard of the ''Wicked Bible?" In 1623 a Bible was published in England which contained an error in Exodus 20, in the section on the Ten Commandments. The 7th commandment should have read "Thou shall not commit adultery." The publishers accidentally omitted the word "not." And it read "Thou shall commit adultery." The Bibles were destroyed and its publishers were fined heavily. It was then known as the "Wicked Bible." One small mistake, one word omitted, and everything was changed. For this reason Jewish scribes are meticulous when copying the Bible. One mistake and the entire thing becomes invalid.

We need to be the same way. Messiah said that heaven and earth will pass away, but not one jot or title will change from God's Word. When you are tempted to soften God's Word, modify or change it when you don't agree with it, don't mess with it. Don't change one word of it. Take it at full strength. Let the Pure Word of God, change your life. And you'll be blessed.

TODAY'S MISSION
Today choose a Bible verse that holds special meaning for you. Apply it to all the situations you encounter today. Let it guide your decisions and actions. Thank God for His Word and the difference it has made for your life.

Hello brothers,
Today, I want to inform you that I will be taking a little break from posting Jonathan Cahn's teaching from Sapphires on FR. The reasons why, I don't really want to bore you with, suffice to say it should be a reasonably brief amount of time and I hope to be back posting the Sapphires on FR at some point in the future, of course, I will leave it in the hands of the Lord. I also, want to give my sincere thanks to you and any others who have replied to the Sapphires posts in the past, with uplifting and edifying comments. Thanks and may the blessings of the Lord be upon you and yours. WN

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of LOVE, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye HAVE ministered to the saints, and DO minister.

'Cant restrain the Jewish joke that Moses, coming down from Mt Sinai a second time told the assembled Hebrews, "Good news. I've gotten Him down to ten. The bad news is that adultery's still in."

Words of wisdom for you and W. As in Mark 4, the Word is falling by the wayside, on stony ground, and among thorns in this forum. But, Jesus said some will fall in good soil producing a 30, 60, or hundredfold harvest. God bless you =-)
