What separates this man's story from similar ones is his claim that Bentley not only molested him but also used him as what the victim described as a "share toy" and permitted other priests to sexually abuse him.

On March 27, 1977, Hubbard, widely known for his grass-roots ministry in Albany's South End, was ordained as bishop, chosen by Pope Paul VI to be, at age 38, the youngest bishop in the country at that time. Over the years, Hubbard would earn a national reputation as a liberal cleric. Hubbard was an outspoken opponent of the zero-tolerance rule that was adopted at a meeting in June of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. Hubbard called the rule "simplistic" and out of step with Christian principles of forgiveness.

Hubbard is out there constantly apologizing. I wonder just how remorseful he truly is. This diocese is heavily populated with homosexual religious.

Another sickening, nauseating, evil story. As a mother of a teenage son, I can only imagine the psychological trauma to these boys.

These stories were given to the papal nuncio decades ago. Nothing was ever done. The nuncio remained in office, even after the media broke the silence decades ago. The bishops who knew what was happening, who promoted their boyfriends, who paid out the hush money by the bucketfull, remained in office. No one was ever fired. No one was ever asked to explain. Whenever the excrement hit the fan, Rome simply hunkered-down in a p.r. mode and protected its good buddies. It is still hunkered-down, promising action, but doing little--and certainly nothing against corrupt bishops. Ireland and Canada have had similar scandals--a countless number of them over the past few decades. Ireland is still rocking daily from the shock and anger. We're talking about thousands and thousands of kids here in country after country. Yet NOTHING was ever done. No one was fired. No reforms were initiated. People looked to the Holy Father--and got only silence in return.

Yet consider this: after only weeks of being suspected of "not thinking with the conciliar Church," several traditionalist theologians and one superior general of the FSSP were summarily fired by an outraged Vatican. After only weeks! And everybody knows the treatment of Archbishop Lefebvre and the men he consecrated--for the crime of preserving Catholic Tradition. How fast Rome acts when it's truly interested in something.
