You are upset with the vitriol used against the Pope? Where? If you consider telling the truth vitriol, then there's no use discussing anything.

If the Catholics who excoriate you and some of your like minded allies would attack Bishop Lefebre,or Fellay,or Williamson unceasingly and would repeat the same one liners again and again and denigrate the intelligence of the readers by saying the same things over and over again,I would have mentioned that too.

But the fact is they don't,and I have seen them on many threads make excellent contributiions about things Catholic without alluding to the Catholics,who don't seem to be helping the Church constructively.

I suppose that I think that attacking the Pope,whose mind we cannot read and whose predessessor was appointed by Christ is mean,simplistic,self defeating as well as not fair. Whereas attacking the poster and allies allows the poster to respond and defend himself.Please understand,I do not think that some of the things they have said to you are/were kind or correct but you and yours were in a position to respond. the Pope is not and that is why I said what I said. You can respond anyway you like,what I said was to help not hinder or hurt.
