Exactly right. Remember how the Pharisees accused St. Stephen of a lack of faith whereas it was they who had departed from tradition? St. Stephen reminded them of this, saying they were like the Jews following Moses who wandered in the desert for forty years and ended up worshiping the golden calf. When he said this, they stoned him in their fury. I came across this passage in my reading of the NT yesterday--I was troubled and looking for answers and believe me, I got some. The passage was really on target. Some of these guys are very pharisaical. They have abandoned the Catholic tradition but react furiously if you suggest this. They charge us instead with a lack of faith. But it's they who have abandoned the faith.

You do not have a lack of faith...you have tremendous faith just as those you refer to as pharasaical. More than a generation has passed and it is difficult for many to see the departure you speak of but it would be untruthful not to recognize the discontinuity when Crucifixes and Tabernacles have been moved and presiders seats have been put in their place. There has been a visual departure and a liturgical one (but many have Hope for this to revert.)For me the worst is recognizing the marxist agenda underfoot at the root of these changes but we know the gates will not prevail and if this is the approach of the end of the road, Christ will have mercy on those trying to hold onto the crumbles of sanctity that come their way and we should all try to be merciful as well. If this isn't the end of the road, Christ will help us repave it according to Scripture and Tradition and it does us no good to toss cobble stones at one another.
