St.Paul and St.Ephraim on this subject should discourage folks from any lingering "once saved always saved "notions.Wonder if that loudmouthed TV celebrity Baptist preacher John Hagee would read the Psalter if I sent him one?
St.Ephraim's work was apparently written about the time of the Nicene council(which he attended). It is interesting to me how extremely familiar he is with all the Gospel accounts of our Lord's life and works.Even though the canon of the NT was not "set" for some 50 years.
Number 23 Third Stasis---"Our Savior Both God and Man" is a beautiful testimony from the Gospels to the Two Natures of God the Son.I believe it is the longest work in the Psalter.

Hi,IGNATIUS.About sending him a copy of St Ephraim's Psalter. It's worth a try! I sure love my copy.I read a little bit every day.I'm on my second turn.
I agree with you totally about #23 Stasis. There's a lot of meat to meditate on.Absolutely beautiful!
About St Ephraim's knowledge of the Our Lord's life, when the canon was not confirmed or finished, is it possible that he was divinely enlighten and also probably word of mouth handed down generation after generation.IMHO.
