Another one. Rigali and Sticka aren't playing around. And Msgr. Sticka is the coolest.

Another one. Rigali and Sticka aren't playing around. They can't. They've bound themselves to a policy that governs these cases. Johnston's the kind of guy they would have kept around prior to last January.

Monsignor Richard F. Stika, vicar general of the archdiocese, delivered the news heard this year in Roman Catholic churches across the country. A child had been violated by a priest. Trust was broken. The priest was gone. Is this your parish?
Very Well handled by the Monsignor. There will be more .. lots more, until the church is purged of these individuals. Sadly, some of the more liberal bishops believe the worst is over.

No. It was headline in Metro Section this morning.
The closest parish mentioned to where I live is St. Catherine of Sienna which was closed...mmmm, two years ago (I think) and was absorbed into my parents' parish. I've been going to the one two to the east of where I live.
But Sacred Heart in Valley Park is ENORMOUS. I can't believe the guy never told.

Doherty said the incident happened in the last years of Johnston's drinking.I have never understood why the Catholic Church has always encouraged the consumption of so much alcohol. What good ever comes from it???

I can name a few relatives who are the result of too much alcohol....

Encourage alcohol and oppose birth control. Both make more Catholics.

Exactly.
Remember, though, where I live. Every parish hall has a built in bar with beer tappers that say "Budweiser" "Bud Light" and "Michelob".

Sadly, some of the more liberal bishops believe the worst is over.Rather, they wish the worst was over.
