First off, I never said I was a learned Catholic. And both statements are actually correct.

Read through the rest of that other thread. Somerville makes some good points, which we have been arguing over forever. The language of the NO is weak. Plain and simple and as big names like this start to withdraw their support for their own work, maybe we'll get closer to tightening up the language of Mass.

There is a book out which I need to get that deals with 35 years worth of badly taught Catechesis. It's now fairly widely recognized that neglect (probably deliberate) has negatively impacted the church. The remedy is not going to be easy, but we'll fix it.

Just curious:) What happens to us poor people who left the catholic church because of this neglect. I for one don't trust anything that any catholic says about what their church teaches, because obviously no one seems to know for sure.
