Dear Pat,
I have read in recent days of the backlash from your honest statements about the political realities in the world and the challenges facing the United States. I find the backlash particularly troubling first because you are right and trying to do the best you can for this country and the free world. In addition, it’s always troublesome when a Churchill, a Jeremiah, or some other honest person is condemned for speaking the truth. Finally, it is troubling because I consider you my friend.
As you know, I am probably on the boards of more than half of the major Jewish organizations in America, as well as many of the major secular charities in the country.
