? I dunno. It doesn't hurt the Church. But based on the evidence so far, nothing has been proved. At best, the ossuary could be determined to be authentic in the general time frame, but then what? Even the archaeologist admitted that at any point in time over a several hundred year period there were at least 20 men named James with a father named Joseph and a brother named Jesus. And now this article has been posted...

Either way, nothing is really proved. At best, it's a nice little historical tidbit to ooh and awe about, nothing more. My comment was a smarta$$ remark about all the anti-Catholics out there saying this "proves" the Church is wrong in teaching the perpetual virginity of Mary, the Mother of Jesus, and therefore the Mother of God. Of course, they'll attack anyway about anything for any reason...

Life goes on. The Church goes on.

That raises a question for me.

I believe the bible speaks of Jesus having siblings. Is that wrong? Also, if it's not, does that affect any teachings that Mary was/is a perpetual virgin?
