Your condescension astounds.
The Novus Ordo is the normative Mass, and has been since 1969. The Indult is provided where the local bishop determines there is a demand.
I have to laugh at you guys who think there is some screaming chorus begging for the Tridentine Mass.
THERE IS NOT! Most Catholics, overwhelmingly, like the Novus Ordo and wouldn't attend a Latin Mass on a bet.
I am in favor of a generous Indult, but not a universal one, as the Novus Ordo should remain normative and not "optional."
Actually, most Catholics, overwhelmingly, won't attend Mass at all. Is that sort of popular demand truly the right basis for resolving such a question?
