How do I mischaracterize Escriva? A woman who served as his secretary has testified he called her a whore, a pig, and said someone "should pull her panties down" and give her a good spanking. There were other witnesses to such foul outbursts, to his dishonesty, to his indifference toward the poor. His "miracles" were bogus--accredited by Opus Dei physicians only--and the process was expedited, eliminating all negative witnesses. None were allowed to be heard. None. Zilch. If this guy's a saint, I'm an angel. But worse than this, is what this "canonization" says about this pope. It removes all doubt from my mind that he has been a bad pope.

Surprise - he IS a saint, and you are no angel. And Pope John Paul II is a good pope. Three strikes, and you are out.
Good-bye.
