I was personally delighted that EWTN refused to broadcast the "consecration" of the new 'cathedral' in Los Angeles

Oh they did...I didn't know that! Hehehe...*grin*

Well, actually I don't think EWTN was asked. I went to EWTN's site looking in the Q/A archives because I remember somebody wrote in asking this question - I couldn't find it. The response was EWTN was not asked to do so.

Such delicatesse and restraint. Of course, if it had been the consecration of a new cathedral in Lincoln, Nebraska, the good folks at EWTN would be beating down the door to broadcast that -- just like they did with Archbishop Dolan's liturgy in Milwaukee.
