Last Sunday was the Nativity of Mary. Our pastor took full advantage by announcing that it was the 39th anniversary of the dedication of our church, Our Lady of the Assumption. All of the readings and the hymns were devoted to Mary. The Communion Song was 'O Holy Mary'. Bud, I had never heard this song before and its lyrics totally captivated me. The Refrain was:
O holy Dwelling Place of God O holy Temple of the Word. O holy Mary Holy Mother of God.
Until I heard this hymn, I had never thought of Mary in the capacity of the holy Dwelling Place of God
It was such a sublime thought and I have reflected on it the whole week.
