To everything there is a season, and yesterday was NOT the day to talk about abortion.

I beg to differ with you, but everyday is a day to talk about abortion and condemn it when your the "celebrant" and you are addressing pews full of pro-death politicians, probably in the front pews.

Those bastards should have been barred from the church. Yet they were individually acknowledged at a Catholic Mass. Shame on Egan and shame on you for defending a worthless Cardinal!

Those bastards should have been barred from the church.

Start your own, and you can keep out everybody you don't like.

Shame on Egan and shame on you for defending a worthless Cardinal!

He's not my cup of tea, but you and Duell seem to be quite alone in your desire to see abortion shoved in the faces of people on every occasion.

And I also wish to differ with you. Cardinal Egan, through his acknowledgement of those politicians has shown in practise what our faith is really all about. Today's gospel reiterated the Beatitudes, and it may do well for you to refer to them on a daily basis and pray that you be enlightened so as to use them for the greater glory of God. Yes, granted abortion is wrong, but one must use discretion in voicing your opinion. Sometimes in silent action one accomplishes more than shouting from the rooftops in vulgar rantings. The Cardinal, in all sincerity is trying to bring about a reconciliation and perhaps in your insensitivity you are doing the opposite.

Yet they were individually acknowledged at a Catholic Mass.

Did they receive Communion? IF not, then what's the big deal? Catholics don't bar people from Mass. Just from taking the Eucharist. By your logic, my cousin's Orthodox girlfriend and Episcopalian friend should have been banned from his mother's funeral last year because they too disagree with the Catholic Church.

Shame on Egan and shame on you for defending a worthless Cardinal!

Stop being so bitter. And learn something about context.
