which one's do you consider to be symbolic and which to you consider to be literal? Can you give examples of each so I know where you're coming from?

I think the very first verse of the book indicates that its genre is symbolic - "...and he sent and signified it...by his angel..." Even the seven churches of chapters two and three is a symbolic figure,there were more than seven churches in Asia in those days.
