The Altar, Lord's Supper and Throne have to do with the believers' relationship with Christ.

In the Old Testament Christ was approached through an altar.

In the New Testament, He is remembered (His Person, work, and return) by the Lord's Supper and in the Millennial, He will be approached while on a throne.

Thus, all three aspects of the Lord's function as Prophet, Priest and King are completed.
